Have you ever wanted to perform on the flying trapeze?
Our Flying Trapeze Performance Course is a chance for flyers 16+ to learn in a small group setting — and become part of a real flying trapeze troupe.

Over ten focused sessions, you’ll train, rehearse, and finally perform in our end-of-season Summer Showcase on 13th September.

Whether you’re looking to push your flying further, build confidence, or experience performing — this course is for you.

What Is the Flying Trapeze Performance Course?

During this block of 10 classes we will work on a variety of tricks and build sequences, ready for the experience of performing to a supportive audience at our end of season summer showcase.


These sessions are smaller than a normal class, meaning you have time for more focussed coaching and we’ll be able to work as a tight knit group to make something together!


As well as developing our technique we will think about how we can perform it, thinking about musicality and presentation. During the course students will also start to learn board skills, like helping each other with the bar and doing a one handed take off.

What Experience Do I Need?

This is not a beginners’ course, but you don’t need to be advanced either.

To join the Flying Trapeze Performance Course, you should:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Have taken at least a few flying classes at our rig
  • Have successfully completed two separate tricks to catch
  • Be working on one arm take off
  • Be excited about teamwork, creativity, and learning

Date: August 5th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 26th, 28th & September 2nd, 4th (Friday 4th dress rehearsal)

Time: August 6:00pm – 8:00pm / September 5:30pm – 7:30pm

Showcase Performance: Saturday 5th September (more info to follow)

Frequently asked questions – Adult Flying Trapeze Course

Do I need to be advanced?

No — but this is for students with some flying experience. You should have taken at east a few flying classes at our rig, be working on a one are take off and have completed two separate tricks to catch. Please email aboveandbeyondaerial.team@gmail.com if you are unsure.

What’s the group size?

The group is capped smaller than our regular classes — only 6 flyers — to allow for focused, efficient coaching and shared creative input.

What if I’m nervous about performing?

That’s totally okay! This course is designed to support you through every stage. You’ll be working with a team, and the showcase audience is welcoming and positive. It’s about confidence, not perfection.

Can I take this course even if I can’t commit to every session?

We strongly recommend attending all 10 sessions. If you’ll miss one, contact us — we may still be able to accommodate you.
