Frequently asked questions – Teen Flying Trapeze Course
Do you need experience in flying trapeze or aerial?
This intensive is designed for teens at a mix of levels — from first-timers to those with aerial or gymnastics experience. However, please bear in mind you will need to be able to climb a rope. Please get in contact if you are unsure!
What’s the group size?
We keep groups to a maximum of 10 — to ensure everyone gets individual attention and time on each piece of equipment. For the Swinging Trapeze we will be splitting into two even smaller groups of 5, where you will have and be able to watch others have their 1:1 session.
What should you wear and bring?
- A packed lunch and water bottle
- Comfortable sportswear (leggings or shorts, T-shirt)
- Layers for warmth and weather
- Hair tied back and no jewellery
- Optional notebook for those who like to journal their learning!
- If you have trapeze boots/gators please bring them (this is not expected)
Is it suitable for shy or less confident teens?
Absolutely. In fact, this course is brilliant for confidence-building. We meet each participant where they are, and nobody is forced to do anything they’re not ready for. The goal is fun and trying something new, not perfection.
Can I drop them off or stay to watch?
This is a drop-off programme, but if your child is nervous at the start, you’re welcome to stay nearby during the warm-up. The day is run by experienced, friendly coaches who are great at helping young people settle in quickly.
Is it safe?
All learners learn while harnessed and secured by safety lines, or are kept safe by spotters & mats. Our flying trapeze and aerial programmes are specifically designed for young people, with professional instructors, full safety equipment, and a net. We prioritise fun and safety equally!
